Alta Brianza Ethnographic Museum (MEAB) in the Monte Barro Regional Park shows you the daily lifestyle of the working class in Lecco in ‘800 and ‘900.
Alta Brianza Ethnographic Museum (MEAB) is placed in Camporeso district, municipality of Galbiate, just few minutes far from Lecco.
The museum is dedicated to working class people’s daily life who lived in the hills of Brianza in the nineteenth and twentieth-century. Visitors experience their lifestyle immersing into videos, images, objects, sounds and may feel sensations to understand the lifestyle of the inhabitants of this area.
Tradition, culture, work techniques, social relationship thanks to the many settings the museum presents provoking thoughts to visitors and involving them in a continuous social life and educational process. We like to define it a museum of society.
The Etnographic Museum is located in Monte Barro Regional Park, site of European interest and special protected area.
Getting the museum
By car: from Villa Bertarelli go on to Camporeso (park area: 20 cars).
On foot: from the park area of Villa Bertarelli walk to Camporeso: 20 minutes.
