A New Chapter in Art in Lecco: Collection Fusion Creates a Unique Cultural Destination at Palazzo delle Paure

The recent opening of the new Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery at Palazzo delle Paure marks a significant moment. This gallery is the result of merging collections previously housed at the museum in Piazza XX Settembre with those from Villa Manzoni. The transfer of artworks is permanent, and the Art Gallery will remain permanently at Palazzo delle Paure.

The Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery offers visitors a journey through the development of art history, spanning various themes and genres, from realism to abstraction, including photography. This thematic and chronological itinerary is designed with the language of contemporary art, providing a comprehensive exploration for visitors.

The rooms of the new Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery are organized as follows:

• ROOM 1: Lombard painting of the 17th and 18th centuries.
• ROOM 2: Still life.
• ROOM 3: Portrait of the 19th and 20th centuries.
• ROOM 4: Landscape.
• ROOM 5: Masters of the territory of the 20th century.
• ROOM 6: “City of Lecco for Art” and contemporary Italian artists.
• ROOM 7: Contemporary Italian photography.
• ROOM 8: Contemporary art in Lecco.

• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Wednesday to Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Closed on Mondays, Christmas, Easter, May 1st
