Natural History Museum at Belgiojoso Palace

Discover the nature of Lecco’s territory and the scientific culture of the 19th century

The Natural History Museum (museo storia naturale) of Lecco is placed at Belgiojoso Palace and offers you the possibility to discover Lecco’s territory and the scientific culture of the 19^th century.

It hosts different rooms with:

• local fauna and some animals specimen of Europe and other continents: collections of birds, mammals, fishes, reptiles, amphibious and insects;
• mineralogical, malacological and paleontological collections:
• a room completely dedicated to Lariosauro, a water reptile who lived Lario’s area in the Triassic.

Entrance to the garden of Palazzo Belgiojoso is free. The museum ticket allows to visit the Archaeological Museum and Historical Museum here in, except the Planetarium.

Thanks to the cumulative ticket of the Museum System of Lecco, you can visit Villa Manzoni and Palazzo delle Paure too.

• Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
