Site of EU interest placed in Park of Lambro is branded by a high biodiversity
Lake Alserio is the second to last of lakes Briantei coming from Lecco to Como and it is placed in the Lambro Valley Regional Park (Parco Regionale della Valle del Lambro).
Thanks to its high biodiversity, lake Montorfano is a site of EU interest: wide rushes surrounding the lake represent an important wet area where a rich sedentary and migratory avifauna takes refuge, rather than animal and vegetable species.
Lake Alserio is framed by the mountains Grigna and Resegone and you can delve into a unique nature.
Four different nature rails allow you to experience this area walking through very different landscapes, discovering also historical and architectural elements such as castle, villas as well as simple farmsteads, wash houses and niches.
