How to get to Riva Bianca Beach

If you are travelling from Milan, the fastest route is via the SS36 Milan–Lecco–Colico highway towards Lecco/Sondrio. After passing Lecco, continue along the eastern shore of Lake Como until the exit for Abbadia Lariana – Mandello del Lario – Lierna, then follow the SP72. Once you reach the centre of Lierna, simply follow the signs to Castello di Lierna and Riva Bianca, where the beach is located.

Parking

Several parking areas are available near the beach, mainly along Via Roma and Via Castello. During weekends and throughout the summer season, parking spaces can fill up quickly, so it is advisable to arrive early or park a little farther away and enjoy a short walk to the beach.

Getting there by train

Riva Bianca Beach is easy to reach by train. Lierna railway station, served by the Milan – Lecco – Sondrio – Tirano railway line, is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the beach. After leaving the station, simply walk through the town centre following the signs for the lake and Castello di Lierna until you reach Riva Bianca. This option is especially recommended during summer weekends, when road traffic is heavier and parking availability may be limited.
