Bellano is a beautiful town on the eastern coast of Lake Como and it extends along the slopes of the mountains. A spectacular view of the lake Lecco from the top of the Village and an impressive lake promenade.
In the nineteenth century Bellano was a lively industrial center specializing in tissues processing, as well as a commerce and culture center, whose traces are still visible in the town’s architectural features. Walking around the alleys you can discover medieval houses, eighteenth century arches, Baroque courts with the families crests of Bellano’s nobility: notable the Denti’s family one, adorned with a pair of jaws.
Bellano hosts an important religious heritage with many churches. The most significant artistic works are found in the parish church of Saints Nazaro and Celso and in the Church of Santa Marta.
If you love nature you can’t miss to visit the singular attraction of Bellano: its ravine, a high impact natural scenario its typical walkways and ladders. Bellano is waiting for you to offer a beautiful lake promenade, a wonderful Lido and a small port. For water sport’s fans there is the sailing club.
