Erve – Lecco
Erve: the path of the pools / Sentiero delle pozze
At the foot of Mount Resegone
Perfect to enjoy the freshness in the summer heat
Are you spending your holidays in Lecco and nearby?
Are you looking to have an easy stroll on our many mountains paths?
We introduce you the shady hiking path at the foot of Monte Resegone, easily reachable from Calolziocorte and Erve.
If you like to go here on Sunday, please consider to use the bus shuttle (see info below).
The pools of Erve are small natural pools created by the fresh water of the Gallavesa stream. They are so attractive during summer.
You can find pools already at the beginning of the path: the same to reach the Monza hut on the Resegone.

The pools along the path: different accessibility
The first pools are located along the path, they are shallow and wide. They are the ideal place for families with small children, in fact you can also use the stroller.
There are pebble beaches and children can play and have fun.
Those who want deeper pools, dug in the rock have to continue the hiking and when the uphill path you need to leave it and go into the woods. You clearly understand this by yourself, because the stream remains on your right. It is obviously not recommended for young children.
Here you can find fantastic pools with transparent water. Rocks, water, nature, greenery, relaxation.
If you still want to walk continue to the plateau, località Gnett (633 m), where there is a very green view of the Resegone.
Take the path indicating Fonte San Carlo. The path alternates between flat and uphill sections.
Cross the stream by walking on the Bruco bridge, built by the Alpine troops, thus arriving at the San Carlo spring (750 m).
Here you find some tables and benches where you can stop for refreshment.
Close to the icon of the saint, carved in the wooden plaque, you can read the phrase: “Go quietly between noise and haste, but remember how much peace there can be in the silence of the mountains”.
Refresh, fill your water bottles, proceed following the signs for Passo del Forcellino or Fò and then leave it on the left and walk to the right to reach the stream.
These are the most beautiful and least frequented pools, because you need to walk. Hehe!
Have a good summer, lots of freshness and always love for the environment. It belongs to us, it must be preserved.
